Brice Sèmako HOUNVENOU

Research and expertise:
Brice Sèmako HOUNVENOU is an economist, planner, and monitoring & evaluation expert, specializing in public policy analysis and the evaluation of development projects and programs. He currently serves as a health economist on the PDMC Saves Lives project, where he contributes to economic analysis and the generation of evidence-based data to support public health decision-making. With over 10 years of professional experience, he has held positions of responsibility in public institutions, private firms, and various local NGOs. These experiences have enabled him to develop strong expertise in strategic planning, the design of monitoring and evaluation systems, data analysis, and the implementation of impact studies. He holds a Master’s degree in Economics, with a focus on Open Macroeconomics, obtained through the Programme du Troisième Cycle Inter-universitaire (PTCI), a prestigious regional program coordinated by the Conference of African Institutions for Economic and Management Training and Research (CIEREA).
Throughout his career, he has led and contributed to numerous studies on a variety of topics, including socio-economic impact evaluations of agricultural projects, assessment of agricultural development plans, value chain diagnostic studies, and user satisfaction surveys. He has also conducted research on themes such as “The multi-stakeholder platform approach as a driver for increasing household income in Benin” and “Mobile money and poverty
