Landry Assongba

Research and expertise:
Landry Assongba is a PhD student in Epidemiology at the University of Bordeaux, he holds a Master’s degree in Public Health (Community Health and Epidemiology) and a Bachelor’s degree in Nursing and Obstetrics (state-registered nurse). With over 10 years of experience in health research, he have worked on projects related to malaria in pregnancy and childhood, COVID-19, and health systems evaluation.
Landry has extensive experience of researching malaria prevention among vulnerable populations, particularly pregnant women and young children in sub-Saharan Africa. For his PhD at the University of Bordeaux, he is investigating the long-term impact of post-discharge malaria chemoprevention (PDMC) on malaria-related morbidity.
