Mynes Ndambo

Research and expertise:

Myness is a Social Science PhD Research Fellow at the Training and Research Unit of Excellence (TRUE) registered with the Kamuzu University of Health Sciences (KUHeS), formerly known as the University of Malawi, College of Medicine (CoM). She holds a Master’s Degree in Public Health from KUHeS and a Bachelor of Science Degree from Mzuzu University. With over 9 years’ experience as a Social Scientist, Myness has contributed to various Public Health initiatives in Malawi. Currently, she serves as a Research Fellow for the formative research component of post-discharge malaria chemoprevention (PDMC) Saves Lives in Malawi. Her previous collaborations include work with the Malawi Epidemiology and Intervention Research Unit (MEIRU), the College of Medicine, and Partners in Health (PIH), where she contributed significantly to research on major public health challenges affecting the rural population in Malawi. Myness has authored 13 research papers published in reputable peer-reviewed journals. Her PhD research investigates the qualitative evaluation of the PDMC implementation for severe malaria management in under-five children in Malawi. She is deeply passionate about enhancing healthcare delivery for rural and vulnerable communities in Malawi; thus contributing to the achievements of the Malawi 2063 and the Sustainable Development Goals.
